An e-invoice you can actually read

A customer sends an XML file instead of an invoice. Drop it in here and read it like a normal one — UBL, Peppol BIS, NLCIUS and XRechnung. In your own browser, so your invoice data goes nowhere.

Drop an XML e-invoice here, or

…or paste the XML

Read in your browser — the invoice is never uploaded anywhere.

How it works

1. Drop the XML file in

Or paste the XML. The file stays in your browser — nothing goes to a server.

2. Read the invoice

Supplier, customer, lines, VAT and totals, plus the profile it was built on.

3. Take the attachment, check the amounts

If a PDF is embedded you can download it. And we re-add the totals to see if they agree.

The tool reads the two syntaxes EN 16931 allows: UBL 2.1 and UN/CEFACT CII. They use completely different element names for the same facts, so each gets its own extractor. Working with accounting software that can't send e-invoices yet? Read more about integrating your systems.

Embed

Put this tool on your own site

One script tag, and the tool runs on your page — on your accountancy site, your webshop's help page, your intranet. It stays up to date by itself and asks nothing of your visitors.

HTML
<script src="https://divsoftware.nl/embed.js" data-tool="e-invoice-viewer" data-lang="en" async></script>

The tool runs in a frame on our domain; your visitors' input never reaches your server and the Peppol check calls our API, not yours.

Free, with a credit line

The embed shows a one-line credit linking back to this page. That's the whole deal: it costs you nothing and every embed sends people our way.

White-label

No credit line, your colours, priority on fixes. € 99 per tool per year, or € 249 for all five, ex VAT. Ask through the quote form and mention which tool.

Frequently asked questions

Why am I suddenly getting invoices as XML files?

Because e-invoicing is becoming mandatory. Belgium has required structured B2B e-invoices since 1 January 2026, and the rest of Europe follows: from 1 July 2030 it applies to cross-border B2B invoicing within the EU. An e-invoice is meant to be read by software, not people — which is why it arrives in your inbox as unreadable code. This tool turns it back into a readable invoice.

Which formats can it read?

UBL 2.1 (both Invoice and CreditNote) and UN/CEFACT CII. In practice that covers Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, the Dutch NLCIUS profile and German XRechnung. The tool recognises the profile itself and labels it.

There's a PDF inside the XML. Can I get it out?

Yes. Many e-invoices carry the human-readable PDF as an attachment inside the XML itself. If one is there, a download button appears. That also happens entirely in your browser.

Does this check whether my invoice is valid?

No, and the difference matters. We check the arithmetic: do the lines add up to the subtotal, does the VAT bridge excl. to incl., and does the payable amount survive a prepayment. That catches the errors that actually appear in hand-built files. A real EN 16931 or Peppol validation runs hundreds of Schematron rules, so an invoice can add up here and still be rejected by an access point.

Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read in your own browser and never leaves your computer. That's deliberate: an invoice contains your revenue, your customer details and your bank account number, and it is exactly the kind of file you should not drag into an arbitrary online converter.

I invoice a Belgian customer. What do I need to do?

As a Dutch supplier you fall formally outside the Belgian mandate, but in practice Belgian customers are standardising on Peppol and expect you to join. Invoices that don't arrive structured get processed late or refused. Practically it means you need a way to send over the Peppol network. That's something we help with.

Want to send e-invoices, not just read them?

We connect your accounting software or web shop to the Peppol network, so your invoices arrive the way your Belgian and German customers expect them.
